What is CSA?
CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture, is a model that connects the buyer (community) directly with the farmer. We are excited to be able to grow for people who love food! Buying a CSA share helps the farmer with the upfront costs for the season and provides the customers with 25 weeks of diverse, fresh, local produce. As the eater, you will sign up for a share in the winter off season and then get farm fresh veggies every week from Late May through Early November!
What we offer:
Our Summer season will run from May 30th to November 14th with a weekly pickup in the Portland Metro area. The farmers will choose vegetables based on what is in season. It will vary each week. We will focus on growing popular, familiar, go-to vegetables, but we will also throw in a few interesting, new, fun varieties. Some vegetables to look forward to are -- Kale, Collards, Lettuce, Spinach, Radishes, Leeks, Carrots, Beets, Potatoes, Tomatoes, and Peppers. Just to name a few!
Each share will feed 2-3 people (depending on how many vegetables you eat!), so if you want more then that we recommend you order two shares. Expect about 7-10 items in each box. One share costs $600 for a season, that is about $24 a week , less than $3.50 a day! To discuss other payment options, please send a message.
You also get a subscription to the Cook With What You Have website. This provides you with hundreds of delicious, creative, and simple recipes for local and seasonal produce you will be getting from us!
PLUS! You can add on a Flower Share! You will receive a large bouquet of perennial and annual flowers grown and arranged by us (Farmer Jennie!).
